How Insurance Works
on a Windshield Claim

Glass damage is usually handled under the comprehensive part of your auto policy. But whether a repair or replacement is covered — and how much you'd pay out of pocket — comes down to your specific coverage and your deductible. Every policy is different.

That's why we never make promises about your coverage. Call us with your claim details and we'll help you confirm the specifics with your insurer before we schedule anything. No surprises when the job is done.

  • We work with most major insurance carriers
  • We help you confirm your coverage before booking — not after
  • Straight answers on repair vs. replacement, insurance or not
  • Mobile service anywhere in Charlotte — we come to you

Quality windshield replacement and ADAS calibration on an insurance job in Charlotte NC
Same Standard, Every Job
No Corners Cut

Same Quality —
Insurance Job or Not

Some shops treat an insurance job as a chance to move fast and cut corners. We don't. The glass, the workmanship, and the ADAS camera calibration are held to the exact same standard whether your insurer is paying or you're paying out of pocket.

And if a job can't be done right — a vehicle whose camera calibration we can't complete to standard, for example — we'll tell you honestly rather than install the glass anyway. Getting you back on the road safely matters more than the claim.

  • Autel ADAS certified — calibration performed on-site after replacement
  • We advise OEM vs. aftermarket glass and explain why

Insurance Questions

Insurance & Windshield FAQ —
Charlotte, NC

It depends on your policy. Glass damage is usually handled under comprehensive coverage, but whether a repair or replacement is covered — and what you'd pay — comes down to your specific plan and deductible. We work with most major carriers and will help you confirm the details with your insurer before you book.
That's a question only your insurer can answer for your policy, and it varies by carrier. We'd rather you call your insurance company and confirm than take our word for it. We're happy to walk you through what to ask before you file.
Claims are filed through your own insurer, and every carrier's process is a little different. Call us with your claim details and we'll help you understand what's needed and coordinate the repair or replacement around it.
The damage decides that, not your insurance. A small chip out of the driver's line of sight can usually be repaired in about 20 minutes. Long cracks or damage in the camera's field of view often need a full replacement. We assess it honestly and recommend the safe option — the same recommendation whether you're using insurance or paying out of pocket.
If your vehicle has driver-assistance features, the camera near your windshield must be recalibrated after a replacement. We're Autel ADAS certified and perform it on-site. On the few vehicles that require OEM calibration, we tell you up front — and if a calibration can't be done to standard, we won't install the glass and pretend otherwise.
